UT Dallas' SACSCOC Project

Faculty Fifth-Year Committee

The Faculty Fifth-Year Committee worked in concert with the Fifth-Year Leadership Team by reviewing, discussing, and making recommendations for improved UT Dallas policies and/or processes in relation to the faculty Principles of Accreditation when applicable. The committee’s co-chairs also served on the Fifth-Year Leadership Team.

The Faculty Fifth-Year Committee met at least twice during the fall and spring semesters, beginning in January 2022 and ending in January 2024, and will determine whether additional meetings are needed. The committee informed how UT Dallas considered the Principles in the context of its evolving infrastructure, by discussing relevant topics, such as appropriate faculty size, coherent programs of study, and adequate academic and student support services offered by UT Dallas. The Faculty Fifth-Year Committee concluded its work on March 1, 2024.

Dr. Serenity Rose King, chair of the Fifth-Year Leadership Team, provided context and clarification if invited by the committee to attend a meeting. Vy Trang also provided technical support as needed.
